Baggage attendent / Platform employee - Schiphol

For our client at Schiphol Airport, we are looking for passage employees, both in front of and behind customs.

Introduction
Imagine you go to work every day with the feeling that you are going on a trip. Well, you are not going on a trip yourself, but you are helping all the cheerful passengers on their way to their holiday destination. You ensure that travelers can go to their flight with smooth running and the correct papers. You take care of the boarding process for the passengers and guide them as accurately as possible! Of course they have luggage with them and you will check it in for them. You will be in contact with travelers from all over the world all day long and will often speak the English language. You do all this with great pleasure and in collaboration with your colleagues! You work in varying shifts and you must be able to work both independently and in a team. Communication is extremely important, so language skills are necessary. A good command of the Dutch and English language is a plus, all additional languages are a plus!

What does this mean?

  • Passenger check-in and baggage weighing and labeling
  • Checking tickets and identity documents for validity
  • Assisting with the boarding process.
  • Entering, retrieving, correctly interpreting and processing passenger and baggage data in all airline check-in computer systems
  • A lot of contact where great expressiveness is desired with: (foreign) passengers, employees of various departments, representatives of airlines (foreign) and employees of Schiphol Airport

What do we ask?

  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language
  • You have been living in the Netherlands for 8 consecutive years
  • Being screened by KLM and Koninklijke Marreschasse*
  • MBO level 4 work and thinking level
  • Flexible use (minimum 4 days a week)
  • Service and customer-oriented
  • Strong communication skills and stress resistant
  • Sense of responsibility and independence
  • Handy on the computer
  • Flexibly available in verbang with irregular schedule
